Oh that was funny! Years ago (I've been married for 30 years) I went on a shidduch (in Israel). I was supposed to meat an English speaker. I gotto the matchmaker's house, and she said the guy hadn't arrived. Then I overheard her neighbor, in Hebrew, telling her: "Look, your fellow from X city couldn't come, don't tell her-- I have someone she can meet." And she agreed! I was floored, didn't know what to say. In walks a Yiddish speaker (I don't know Yiddish), about 20 years my senior. and then as I am explaining to him that we are not a good match, the electricity fails!!!! Needless to say, I never went to THAT matchmaker again!.
i love the first one.
